I must admit I do like to pose a bride and groom, photography is so much more than just pressing a shutter release button, it’s light, pose, feelings, they say you have to feel a picture as much as see it and that’s where I like being in control, so when I was asked to do a completely un-staged wedding and take the pictures as it happened I was little bit apprehensive to say the least, don’t get me wrong, I do a lot of reportage during a normal wedding, because some of those moments can be some of the best pictures, but not usually a whole wedding. At least the pressure of organising the pictures was taken away from me and yes I enjoyed it a great deal. Finding the images and the composition as it happened, it did take me out of my comfort zone, but I must say I really did enjoy it and I was so pleased with the results and more importantly so were the bride and groom.
So here is a little taster of David & Bryony’s wedding photos. We traveled across to the beautiful town of Norwich for their surprise wedding, where the guests and family were expecting a surprise 30th birthday party for the bride and what they got was so much more. When David came into the room, followed by myself and Clare who was second shooting or me you could have heard a pin drop and then Dave explained what was happening and just a few tears could be seen, but there was nothing but love in that room on that day and I was very happy to have been a part of it.
